    Hallo zusammen,

    Dirk

    -------------------------- English ----------------------

    Hello everyone,

As already announced we will abort the cost of the servers in Hardline.

Because of the declining number of players and also the donations, I decided to take this heavy step.

Both the time and the financial resources leave me no choice.

Even though I know that many of our servers are very popular with us, we have always been able to convince them of a certain continuity.

The conversion will take place on 14.05.2017.

This step is by no means easy for me, but it has to be done.

Since I do not want to make the decision alone, I hereby make a choice, which server we should unsubscribe.

There is also the possibility to change certain settings.

So we would however 2 servers influence, and this change must be well thought!

I would be happy to receive feedback from you.

Furthermore, I would like to thank all of you who have supported us, or me, on the way to where we are currently working with our own work or financially donated.

Without these people, I could never have done it.

A big thank you also from me.

    Best regards

    Dirk

  • Guys if you want to make sure that your favorite server remains active it would be advisable to donate a buck or two.

Every cent helps and you get certain benefits like immunity to autobalance, reserved slots and sniperslot just for a few euros per month.

Right now an incredibly small percentage of the userbase has ever contributed financially to the PB clan, Anti can't keep paying for all of these expenses indefinitely out of his own pocket.

Eventually he'll have to cut down on one server after another, your favorite one might be next...

  • I've played on PB servers for long time but today is the first time I ever donated.?( I feel really sorry about it. It reminds me of an old saying that 'you will cherish it only when you lose it'. These servers are the only reason why BFH is alive. I believe this game will die instantly the day when there were none of PB servers running. I will donate more if possible:)

  • I feel a bit ashamed too! I play on PB server for more than a year and didnot realize it takes that much money. I cannot follow the entire discussion (my German is a bit rusty) but €400 is a lot of money to host an environment where everyone can play free...

I agree with sonsaku... If PB servers go down... BFH is not the same anymore...

Just donated for 3 months VIP.

    Pls keep PB up!

  • We will keep up the PB Servers. Our Problem is, that in the last time, we get not enough donations for our servers.

And the money to pay is for me to much.

I thank you very much for your assistance.

And if your german is a bit rusty, it is time to make a holiday in the "Pfalz" :D

  • Is English still a problem in Germany? I had a lot of German collegues who had problems with English because all the language is not teached at school by default and all foreign movies are synced to German as well. In Holland we have a lot of German tourists who expect us to speak German... ;-)...

  • English is being taught in germany from the 5th grade onwards in the very least, some elementary schools even start teaching it before.

But you also have to choose mandatory language courses in either french, russian, greek, italian or spanish sometime after that and you don't see nobody being fluent in those.

In the end it comes down to how much you're interested in the language yourself.

Knowing English is a pre-requisite to an extensive use of the internet so most of the newer generations have a 'learning by doing' sort of advantage to study the language outside of english class, unlike their older peers who still mostly use german magazines, newspapers and TV for their entertainment.

You can't compare it to the netherlands where it's always been like "lol you have to learn english or be stuck with dutch subtitles all your life".

Not being able to properly enjoy TV is a powerful weapon when it comes to getting the masses to do something :D

  • Willy, thx 4 your reply. I donot agree with your subtitle argument but in the end we donot have to agree on that. Thx to our Google "friends" we have google translate (which i used to translate long German discussions) so this old bastard can sniff the clue out of the conversations ;)...

And I donot want to disrupt this important threat with language discussions...

But thx again for your reply!
